COURTNEY RETURNS IN THE #99

Milwaukee, Wisconsin – (March 18, 2010) – Jeff Courtney returns to the Woodhouse Performance Racing team and Dodge for another adrenaline pumping World Challenge season. “This will be my fourth year in a Dodge Viper,” said Courtney. “It’s been great working with Dodge and Gary Johnson; they give the Vipers the technical support to stay in the game.” The Woodhouse Performance Team is focused on the Manufacturer’s Championship for Dodge this year.
With the return of Courtney, a Viper veteran in the No. 99 car and Kuno Wittmer, a seasoned Canadian driver moving into the #13 Dodge Viper from Touring Car, the driver duo for the Woodhouse Team shows great promise for the 2010 season. “I am so pleased to have a full-time teammate this year; especially a quality driver like Kuno,” said Courtney. Matt Bejnarowicz, this year's team engineer, known for his factory Dodge Viper development, will be joining Rick Maxwell and the rest of the team for the season.

Along with having a full-time teammate for 2010, this will be the first time the Courtney has had the opportunity to work with an engineer for a full season. “I’m really excited to be able to work with Matt along with Rick and the rest of the Woodhouse Performance Team,” said Courtney.

Courtney’s additional sponsors include Dodge, RecStuff.com, Coins of America, JG Wheels, Foerster Signs, Bell Helmets, and Oakley.” “To step up our marketing program, this year I am announcing the addition of Berle Smith, as marketing director to help our team, and our sponsors enhance, create and execute marketing plans.” said Courtney.

There are a lot of new changes in the Series for 2010 including a new TV package that has been increased to 90 minute broadcasts that will be shown on Saturdays and Sundays. The season has been extended to 12 events at 8 venues, with some venues running double races. Another change will be the addition of the GTS class and all three classes will be running on the track at the same time. “Some of the changes to the series bring their own challenges,” said Courtney, “and I’m interested in seeing how this is all going to play out. It will definitely increase the action out there, that’s for sure.”
